The Smokie Melt

Ingredients

  • Kingsmill Gold Seeds & Oats bread
  • Scottish Pride Cheddar
  • Flaked cooked smokies
  • Chilled Carbonara sauce
  • Sun-blushed tomatoes
  • Spring onions or chives
  • Mustard

Method

  1. Gently mix roughly flaked cooked smokies with just enough fresh chilled Carbonara sauce to loosely bind the flakes together
  2. Then stir in some grated Scottish Pride cheddar and chopped spring onions or chives
  3. Toast a slice of the Kingsmill Gold Seeds & Oats bread, then spread with a hint of mustard
  4. Top with sun- blush tomatoes and pile on smokie mix
  5. Set on a foil-lined grill pan and grill until brown and bubbling

Toastie tip

Add more cheese on top for even more melt!
